Kids today have to navigate an unsafe world filled with bullies and predators
“Our program teaches kids not only how to defend themselves but also when to use their skills. Helping them make fast decisions that keep them safe”
And they develop fantastic self discipline and self confidence as they learn
Hi there, It’s Phil and Liz Weaver here…
Imagine if your child had all the confidence, discipline, and strength of character they needed to thrive in today’s world?
What if they met every obstacle with a genuine and positive best response?
We’ve been teaching kids strength, discipline, character, and self defense skills for decades. Over the years we’ve helped thousands of kids become strong and confident. We’ve taught them the most incredible self defense art ever created. An art you simply won’t find in your local dojo.
And just as importantly we’ve helped them understand when it’s necessary to use their self defense skills and when it’s not.
Does your child know when to defend themselves? And When Not To?
Understanding when to defend yourself is simple, if you understand the three rules of self defense. Unfortunately most people teach this incorrectly. (Hint: Who threw the first punch is wrong. Teaching a child that can put them in danger)
Through our training methods kids quickly come to understand the three rules that make it a self defense situation. Having these three rules deeply ingrained lets them react appropriately and quickly. That’s why we model these rules for them in our program. We actually role play. This is the fastest way for them to understand.Does Your Child Know How to Keep a Predator at a Distance while Alerting Help?
It’s horrible to think about your child ever being abducted by a stranger. Most people simply avoid thinking about these things. But that won’t help if your child ever needs those skills.
Telling them what to do in a situation won’t work either. If they are in danger they will be stressed. they won’t remember. It has to be drilled in. They have to be trained to do more than just yell. And it needs to be second nature.
It’s essential that kids have.
- Sharp highly effective self defense skills
- The ability to react in a situation
- Self confidence to help them avoid situations

Do You Worry?
Every day when your child goes off to school do you worry about their safety. Are you concerned that they might be bullied or attacked and you won’t be there to protect them?
Maybe it seems like your child has something bothering them but they won’t tell you? They just say nothings wrong?. And you have a gut feeling that there is
Or maybe you just worry that these problems may crop up in the future? You’d like to bully proof your child.
What about later in life? When they are on their own. Are you concerned that at some point they may to defend themselves or suffer harm?
Sometimes kids go through these things and never say a word. The terrible thing is that at some point, almost all kids will go through some form of physical threat. Will they be prepared?
The Schools are Helpless
The school systems can’t stop the bullying. They are over run with discipline problems that they just can’t handle. They have to setup ineffective rules just to make it easy on themselves. These rules make the problem worse. These rules protect the schools but harm the good kids.
Let me explain…
When a violence problem occurs both kids get in trouble. It doesn’t matter who was the cause. The problem with this is the troubled kids don’t really care if they get suspended. So they sometimes start trouble knowing that the good kid will get in just as much trouble.
The good kids know this. So when it comes to a self defense situation they won’t defend themselves. They’ll take a beating for fear of getting in trouble. Couple this with the “No Tell” philosophy that seems to pervade the schools and you’ve got a recipe for big trouble. The good kids are the ones that suffer. Being a good student, or quiet, or polite, or different in any way makes them a target. And they usually see no way out. They can’t tell the school. They can’t tell their parents. So they suffer silently.
Sometimes this frustration builds up until something horrible happens.
Sounds like a battle field doesn’t it? Nope that’s just Elementary through High School.

It’s a Whole Lot Easier to Deal With It Early On
Bullies and predators exist everywhere. In school. In college. In the workplace. Knowing how to deal with them is critical for life success.
You know what the incredible thing is?
Once you develop a strong self confidence. Once you develop the ability to defend yourself. Once you learn how to stand up for yourself. You almost never have too!
It’s weird. It’s like having a magical force field around you. Bullies go elsewhere. Predators go elsewhere.
Now we all know it’s not magic. It’s our body exuding confidence. It’s the predators and bullies looking and seeing that you are not a mark. Your not an easy target. So they just move on. They go find an easy target. Because there are plenty of them.
I wish someone had taught me that when I was a kid. If I had learned learned early on I would have avoided a lot of pain and suffering. I hope that’s what you are considering for your child? Helping them Avoid all these problems. Helping them go an easier route? Helping them stay safe?

The Karate Kid
Once we became black belts and learned Da’ Shifu’s teaching system we opened a school. We had to pass down the incredible things he had taught us.
But at first we really only taught adults. The system we had learned had previously only been taught to adults. It was considered too sophisticated for kids.
Prior to 1984 all martial arts were mainly adult only. It wasn’t until The Karate Kid movie came out that dojos were filled with kids. The bad thing about this is that the karate schools weren’t ready for kids. But they took them anyway.
Dojo owners saw dollar signs. Their classes filled quickly with children. Not knowing how to teach them they made it up as they went. The greedier of the bunch quickly figured out that if they gave the kids belts the parents were happy. Parents bragged about their kids rank and this brought in more customers. The cash registers overflowed.
But it was all a farce. The kids weren’t being taught the true art. Instructors were merely pacifying parents and collecting fees. It was a sham.
Maintaining Integrity
When we announced to Da’ Shifu that we wanted to teach kids he was not enthusiastic about the idea. He had seen to many arts lost because instructors gave in to the money. Ancient arts lost.
We explained to him about our own past. How life could have been so much better if we had learned earlier in life. Reluctantly he acquiesced. Under a watchful eye we opened our classes to kids. We weren’t going to let him down. We were determined to teach with integrity. We knew if we failed we’d never get another chance under Da’ Shifu.
For the most part we taught kids the same as we did adults. We did not take the advice from other school owners to drop our standards for each rank.
The kids learned very well. There were some differences but overall they caught on amazingly well. We had to do a little more role playing so they could understand situations. We created a new beginner belt series which taught the principles a little more broken down. And we cut things up until smaller steps. But through all of this we never changed the actual art. We taught it exactly the same.
Hated for Success
Soon our success began to be noticed. We were turning out kids with amazing skills. Skills that were apparent. We were doing what they said couldn’t be done.
That didn’t please everyone. Pretty soon other school owners felt threatened. Our lower ranked kids had more skills than their black belts. Parents noticed. A few of them went back to those schools and complained. They felt cheated and rightfully so.
We weren’t well liked in the martial arts community. As long as we taught the real thing, parents had something to compare too. And those school owners struck back. They spread rumors. They spent advertising dollars to disparage us. They even challenged us physically.
We just kept going. Our reputation was strong and no one believed the rumors. We stood up to them when they sent their thugs. We kept training the kids. We had a lot invested and weren’t about to give up.

So We Created an Online Course.
When we started planning the course we poured over all the martial arts instructional videos out there. We did our research. Online classes weren’t yet available so we went old school. DVD’s, and even VHS. There were only a couple produced for kids. Those didn’t have any value at all. They looked like they were trying to produce some cutesy kids show. No martial arts to speak of.
We moved on to courses for adults.
I watched hours and hours of these things. It was painful. The instructors seemed like they might have something to teach. But they didn’t teach. They just skimmed over the material. I thought, “Wow, I hope they don’t teach like that in their schools”.
I had been taught as an instructor to build a technique. Start with the smallest components and develop them out. Once you build these building blocks up you cn start putting them together. But slowly. Take your time at it. Just like building a house you want to build that foundation up strong. Don’t skimp on the basics.
These instructors weren’t doing this. They were demonstrating a technique and then moving on. How in the world was a student supposed to learn from that?
It wasn’t until I really started putting our own program together that I figured out why.
You Can’t Learn from a DVD. You Can Learn Online
When we started filming our courses we ended up with hours and hours of footage. Just for one little technique. When we did a whole belt we literally ended up with hundreds of videos. We had full length class videos. We had videos of the techniques done slowly. Then from all angles. We had videos designed for just repetition. We had videos to show how it looked in real life. Fast on a bad guy.
When we really started putting together every aspect of how we knew it should be taught it ended up being massive.
And then it hit me. You could never do that on DVD, Even if those teachers had wanted to, they couldn’t. There simply wasn’t enough storage space on a DVD. So they skimmed. Maybe that style caught on as the way to do it. I really don’t know. All I know is it wasn’t what I called teaching. And when we taught it the right way it was massive.
But you know what?
On the web that’s okay. We can store all kinds of video online. There’s no limit. We’re not stuck with the hour or two you can put on a DVD. We can do it the right way.
Plus the web has other features. Like interaction. Students can ask questions and we can answer.
So yeah, I agree with the people that say you can’t learn from a DVD. But you can learn from the web. Online courses in other fields are proving that every day.
And so are we.

So What Do You Get?
We decided to do an introductory course. Seemed like a good idea to start out small. If they like it great. There’s more. If not, well then there’s not much commitment.
So many martial arts schools rely on that initial big commitment. Down payments and uniforms. Even if they have sign up specials they are going to get everyone all excited and then ask you to sign a yearly contract. Then your stuck when six weeks later your child wants to quite. We think that’s a lot of nonsense.
So we created this introductory course. It’s got a ton of material but in the realm of things it’s still just dipping a toe in the water. Check it out and see if it’s right for your child. That’s a lot better than the big commitment the typical school will try to suck you into.
Your child will be taught:
- How to do a greeting salute and it’s meaning
- How to show respect to the school and other students
How to do a formal opening salute. This is used as a precursor to training. To clear the mind. - Basic stances
- Basic Blocks
- A Basic technique against a right punch.
All of this taught exactly like we teach it in the school. No skimming. The real classes plus bonus material.
The interesting thing we have found is that kids actually like to repeat the same class three or four or even five times. We figured out why. It’s actually kind of cool.
Children intrinsically know that they need a mix of knowing and learning. They like to feel good about themselves (everybody does) So they repeat classes to feel this. When they repeat a class they feel good about themselves because they KNOW the class. But then they want new material to. So they tend to do a class several times before moving on. Naturally giving themselves the perfect mix of knowing and learning.
Kids love to repeat the lessons.Something they can’t get in a dojo
I’ll be honest. I wasn’t the first one to discover this. Some of the most successful children’s show producers knew this and scheduled repeat shows. They’d repeat the same show four times before moving on to the next one. And of course all parents probably have that one DVD that they are sick of because they watched it 2700 times with their child. Kids love to watch these multiple times because they like the feeling they get from really knowing it.. And why not. There’s plenty of time. Let them train it in well. In the end they’ll be much better because of it.
The Easiest and Most Affordable Way to Start Martial Arts Training
If you were to go sign up your child at a martial arts school what would it cost?
Usually there’s a down payment of a couple hundred bucks. The lessons will cost a little over a hundred per month. Usually $120 – 150 per month. Then there’s a uniform. On top of that there are often required equipment purchases. Then if things work out there will probably be testing fees. And remember if it doesn’t work out your still going to be hooked into that year contract. That’s right you’ll pay that $150 per month whether your child goes or not. Most schools average about a three month retention. That’s why they go for the year contract. They know you probably won’t stick around without it.
And the truth is that if you do happen to get a quality instructor then it’s worth all that. I mean how can you put a price tag on changing your child’s life for the better. Unfortunately good instructors are few and far between.
There’s a Better Way
You can get quality instruction right in your own home. All you need is an internet connection and a device to watch the lessons on. We stream our quality classes right into your home. Anytime. Anywhere.

We’re so sure your kids will love this that we are offering a 100% money back guarantee for a full 90 days! That’s right. If they don’t like it, just let us know and we will send you an immediate and polite refund.
Bringing Back the Martial Arts
We do this because we know how so many karate schools operate. They use tactics to get your child all excited. Then you don’t have any choice but to sign a year contract and pay a bunch of money up front. Usually totaling $500 or more. Then they don’t do a good job of keeping your child motivated and pretty soon your child wants to quit. Sure you push them to go but it becomes more and more of a fight until you finally give in. Then your left with a bunch of equipment you won’t use and a monthly bill until you pay off that contact.
We hate what this has done to the martial arts. So we’re making things right.
To help you avoid this we are offering this low cost starter program. If your child loves it then great. There’s lots more. If not, then simply send us an email and we will promptly return your purchase price. Nothing lost but plenty to gain!
I bet you won’t get that guarantee at a karate school.

“My husband and I signed up our son at the end of his kindergarten year to help him to be able to defend himself against an older cousin. Soon after my daughter joined when she was old enough. This was one of the smartest things we could have done for them. Not only has Sheng Chi taught them self-defense but it has also taught them self-discipline and given them the confidence that I believe that they couldn’t have gotten from playing a team sport. My daughter was extremely shy when she started to the point of hiding behind me when new people where introduced to her, and to get her to try new things was impossible, but having her in the program really brought her out of her shell. It was amazing to see her over come her shyness and gain the self-confidence that she needed.
Well to make this long story short, Sheng Chi has done amazing things for my children. It has given them self-discipline, confidence in themselves and their abilities, all the while learning to defend themselves. It has also given me a piece of mind knowing that my child can be all they can and will also be able to protect themselves if they ever had to.”

For awhile we even moved to a small town in Alaska. There I was not only the new kid but I was different. My pale skin earned me multiple fights every day. All the kids wanted a crack at me.
That’s pretty typical. When a child loses confidence in themselves they have a hard time motivating to anything. When a person is depressed doing anything is 100 times more difficult
When I arrived I spotted Al. Except instead of his regular ranch attire he was wearing a fancy silk gi. Around his waist was a sash with lots of circles. Everywhere he went everyone stopped to pay attention to his every word. Hundreds and hundreds of people. Most of them very big, very athletic, very strong. Every one stopped and bowed to him as he approached. I walked with him, flabbergasted.
Then a stroke of luck. I was sent to train with a new teacher. A master. They called him Da’ Shifu.
